Note: President Chris Clark was absent, meeting led by K. Lofthouse. Both student board members were at their respective high schools’ Senior Awards Night receiving awards. At the next board meeting, May 15th, it will be “hoodie night”. If you attend that meeting expect to see people wearing their college gear.
[6:07] Recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
[7:59] During Agenda Consent we had two Mou’s approved. They are on our webpage, fcea.com, and linked in the May 5th edition of the FCEA news. If you are currently a CTE with “real world experience” please read MOU #16 to see if you are eligible for an adjustment on the salary scale due to this agreement. Two new administrators for next year were announced: Tony Perez, the new AP for CHS and Dr. Laura Sloan the new principal for TJE. The time stamp listed coordinate with their introductions.

[12:23] Pediatric Mobile Clinic - this is a partnership between our district and UC Davis. It grew from existing relationships built through Community Schools. They've supported sports physicals and vaccination fairs in the past year. The mobile clinic is at Cordova Lane Center on Thursdays and provides services for Asthma, Mental Health and Developmental screening. Students can be referred to the clinic by FCUSD staff. The clinic coordinates care with families and with their primary care physicians. The ppt includes data on the first few months of full partnership.
[27:26] Scott Meyer, Dr. Iyuanna Pease, and Kate Hazarian presented a report on “Increasing Student Connectedness: Positive School Climate”. This is in response to a board request to report out district efforts related to BP5137
