Bargaining Update for March 13, 2024 meeting

The teams came to agreement on 6 MOUs:

  • New Teacher/ New Special Education Teacher beginning of the year training: New Special Education teachers (voluntary) 7/30 and 7/31, all New Teachers 8/1 and 8/2. You will be paid. 

  • Elementary Collaboration Time: Will continue next year. TK will have their collaboration time on Wednesdays and Thursdays instead of Thursdays and Fridays. 

  • Secondary Minimum Days: For the 24/25 school year, all secondary schools will observe the same minimum days as they did this year. We will bargain minimum days in 24/25.

  • Collaboration Time for Special Education Preschool: Sped preschool teachers will meet at the ESC at 8:15 on August 15 to set the agenda for the year. Non-student days will be: 8/15, 9/5, 10/3, 11/7, 12/5, /1/9, 2/6, 3/6, 4/3 and 5/1. 

  • Summer School/ ESY Pay: Hourly rate is the highest hourly rate without a doctorate. 

  • Intern Salary Credits: interns who go through the FCUSD intern program or special education SCOE or YCOE programs will receive credits earned to advance on the salary schedule. 


We discussed High School Supervision/ Adjunct duties and  Teacher Suspensions and both MOUs will be brought back to the table next month.
