Bargaining Report: March 11, 2026

During today’s bargaining session, the teams reviewed several MOUs and contract updates. Much of the discussion focused on potential revisions to Article 10 related to Special Education, including clarifying language around inclusion, co-teaching, class size guidance, and how IEP requirements interact with staffing and scheduling. The teams also discussed updates to the Elementary Collaboration MOU, including a proposal to spread required early release assessment days for K-3 across the school year and reduce mandatory sub-testing. Additional updates included reviewing Special Education prep time and preschool MOUs, ongoing work from the TK workgroup on scheduling guidance, and minor updates to Special Education job descriptions to better reflect current service models. The group also began discussing possible common language around Advisory and FLEX periods at secondary sites, with an emphasis on site collaboration and staff input. Several items will return for further discussion in upcoming meetings.
