Bargaining Report for April 15, 2026

Today’s meeting included reaching agreement on 6 MOUs with 1 more pending and 4 job descriptions whose purpose is to clarify procedures and clarify the professional roles that define our district.

We discussed and provided clarity on how CTE experience translates to the salary schedule. We evaluated contract language with regard to Agriculture and Culinary stipends, specifically addressing the extended work hours required for CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organizations). Job descriptions were reviewed for both Ag teachers and general CTE teachers to ensure their unique responsibilities are formally recognized. We discussed rolling HS supervision language into the contract and we worked on replacement language for (1) MS supervision and (2) Advisory and Flex periods. We also had brief updates and discussions about Special Education Preschool, District Lead Counselor, TK Teachers, evaluation timelines and TK and TK-K schedules.

Our day concluded with a presentation regarding FCEA’s formal response to the District’s February compensation offer. This remains a primary focus as we work toward a fair and competitive package for all members.

In the ppt below, you will see the district’s offer from February, as well as our response.  We have worked hard to make an offer that is responsible, data driven and focused on retention.  FCEA will present our response at the May 7th school board meeting.  It would help if we had a full house of FCEA members in their shirts behind us during that presentation.  Our district and board do not want labor strife like nearby districts nor labor strife as they consider a bond measure…just by attending silently in the background you will add needed support and the push to help settle this sooner and in our favor.
