Bargaining Report: May 13, 2026

It was a long meeting in a long year - thank you to the FCEA Bargaining Team for their time and work on behalf of our members. Please read items #1-3 at some point, but #4 will summarize the district's new offer.

  1.  MOU’s….these will be going to the school board in June and we will be posted at fcea.com when approved.  Most of these will have minor tweaks and then either go into the contract this summer or extend for one year and go into the contract [Collective Bargaining Agreement, CBA] next summer.  The old MOU Number is included for reference and does not include edits agreed to at the table on May13th.

  1. Also going into the contract this summer is an update to Appendix E-1 to reflect the STRS rule that we need to be paid during the month of the event so if you sub during your prep (sec) or have students added to your class due to a lack of sub (elem) E-1 will be updated to match current time card practices.

  2. Job Descriptions

    1. Peer Advisor - This was mentioned in Evaluations videos in the past and it is modeled after San Juan’s program.  We’ve secured 1-time funding to pilot the position next year.

    2. K-12 Teacher - if you go to the HR webpage you will find many teacher job titles all currently linked to the 1970’s era JD.  We’ve finally updated the JD!  Hopefully it lasts for several decades too.

  1.
