School Board Report: August 15, 2024

1:19  FCEA President’s Report

1:20 FCLA Report was a presentation by Kinney High School.  See the ppt in the agenda to learn more about the many wonderful things happening at Kinney.

1:38 Annual Board Report on our two charter programs.  With New Pacific starting this year, the district has realized they needed to renew their efforts for our existing charter as well and has worked to tighten up the oversight process.

• Folsom Cordova Community Charter (FCCC) has been part of our district since 2004.  It serves as a home base and support for parents who homeschool students.  Of the 5 guiding questions they are meeting 2 and progressing on the other three.  See the ppt for areas of strength and growth.

• New Pacific Charter is a new provider w/i district and started this year with grades TK - 5 [initial proposal was for TK - 12].  For the 5 guiding questions 3 are progressing, one does not meet standards (not currently financially viable) and the last one about their program success if unanswerable as the data is not yet available.
