School Board Report: Sept. 3, 2026

[1:26] G2: Secondary Spotlight: FHS ppt Taylor, Lauren and Hailee from FHS student government showed how Folsom High School’s guiding principles are demonstrated at their site through academics, sports and student activities. Check out the video to see their presentation or view the powerpoint to see how Excellence, Celebrating the Success of Others, Creating Community, and Looking to Lead are manifested at Folsom High.
[1:32] H: With agenda consent came a new introduction for a current employee. Congratulations to Becca on her new role.

[1:40] J: FCEA Report: ppt Tracy Suter highlighted the current state of negotiations. Tracy challenged district assumptions regarding enrollment and ADA, pointing out specific problems with district assumptions. There were also reminders to the board regarding the goal of seeing staff as team mates. This was followed by a presentation of the history of COLA’s in proportion to the amount FCEA received in salary bumps. The current FCUSD offer does not respect those previous increases. The presentation closed with a belief that being valued as teammates should be backed up with appropriate action rather than just words.
[1:59] K1: Summer Projects Update. ppt See the ppt for more details but HVc projects, Roofing projects and Classroom Refresh projects. Coordinated several moves due to Special Ed Triad movements. There are also updates on in progress work at CVE and some fencing projects completed over the summer. FMS fencing should be wrapping up this fall. The update also included several projects in progress at CHS. Nearly every school in the district has projects completed, in progress or planned. See the ppt for details for your site. If you have input on the parking lot improvements/changes at FHS send your comments to Craig Rouse, Chief Operations Officer.
[2:18] L1: 25-26 Budget Update of Unaudited Actuals Report ppt Sean Martin presented the actual expenditures from 25-26 called the unaudited actuals compared to budgeted values as they close the books. Once it is submitted to SCOE independent auditors review and the district gets a final report in December.
