School Board Mtg Report: October 1, 2026

• [1:10] G1:  Secondary Spotlight:  Folsom Cordova Community Charter School (FCCC) Middle School:  Campus Life Spotlight.  See the ppt presentation from students as they highlight many activities at their site including Workshops.  Workshops include:   Student Leadership and a twice weekly Musical Theater Class hosted by Norcal Fine Arts.  On Wednesdays there is a Math Bootcamp, a Language Arts Class called Plot Twist and then a STEM class followed by lunch and the Elective Wheel.  PPT

• L:  Superintendent’s Report

  • Correction (J. Huber)  from last meeting:  FCCC Renewal is this spring and New Pacific is the following Spring for its renewal

  • Studer survey is live.  All labor partners encourage all staff to participate so we can measure the degree of improvement from last year.  Families are also encouraged to participate.  After the confidential data goes to Studor, they analyze results and will return themes for the district, department (ESC) and sites.

  • CONGRATULATIONS TO THE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS TEAM.  Today we learned that  Folsom Cordova Community Schools Transformation, has received a successful validation and is now an official 2026 Golden Bell Award Winner. 

  • Acknowledged the tragic loss of a 10-yr old, 5th grader from Mather Heights student in a car accident.  His mom is still in critical care and the other driver was Mather Heights Grandparent.  Superintendent Swanson reminded all of us to pay attention to the important things in life - that we tell our friends and family that we love them.
