Good Afternoon To All Members and Potential Members,
This is just a short message to all of you to give you some information.
Firstly, all lateral transfers closed as of June 13th (MOU#10, 2024 - 2025). If there was a position you applied for that was posted on or before June 13, 2026, you will be given the chance to apply and fill that position. If the posting was on June 14 or beyond, then no internal transfers will take place.
There two exceptions:
If you filled out your “dream job” application (Extended Transfer Process) with HR, then those positions will still be available to you. MOU#10 from 2024 - 2025.
If there is a position that would be considered a promotion. The promotion is defined as an increase in pay. For example, if an Athletic Director became available, then internal transfer would be open to all current staff or an Assistant Principal position.
The other information I wanted to give was about the new law surrounding pregnancy leave. This new law is part of the State 2026 - 2027 Budget. This new law gives all educational staff to up to fourteen (14) weeks of PAID leave. There are many questions and not a lot of answers surrounding this process, and how it works. I do know that if you are having a child this summer, you will be able to have some paid leave IF your medical doctor gives you a note that grants leave past our first day of school. DO NOT contact FCUSD for any help, they do not know any more than what I am giving you. We are all waiting for the final budget to be signed. CTA will be getting out a Q & A with information as soon as possible. I will get out the information as soon as I have it.
