Report: February 14, 2006
The
Grievance Committee met on February 14 at
Cordova
High School
. John Savage presented his “contract issue of the month”
topic, placement on the salary schedule. He will review this
topic with site reps at the next rep council meeting. The
committee received an update on a grievance that was settled with
the assistance of Steve DePue from CTA. The committee
discussed feedback that was provided by Leslie Faust concerning
scheduling for kindergarten conferences. Some committee
members are concerned that teachers were not given adequate
opportunity to contribute to the decision making process that lead
to conferences being required In November. The current
contract stipulates scheduling will be determined by site
administrators in consultation with teachers (8.15.2) This
topic will be on the agenda for the next meeting.
